Favour of the Lord

by Israel and the New Breed

[Verse One:]
It's my season for the favor of the Lord
Soul is thirsty for an outpour
I am standing on the promises of God
Everything he has for me I receive
I am blessed to be a blessing

[Chorus:]
I have a promise a promise from Heaven
It's my season it's my time for the favor of the Lord

[Vamp:]
Pressed down shaken it together
Running over in the favor of God
Pressed down shaken together
Running over running over

O Happy Day

by Tim Hughes

Verse 1:
The greatest day in history, Death is beaten
You have rescued me
Sing it out Jesus is alive
The empty cross, The empty grave
Life eternal You have won the day
Shout it out Jesus is alive
He's alive

Chorus:
Oh happy day, happy day
You washed my sin away
Oh happy day, happy day
I'll never be the same
Forever I am changed

Verse 2:
When I stand, in that place
Free at last, meeting face to face
I am Yours Jesus You are mine
Endless joy, perfect peace
Earthly pain finally will cease
Celebrate Jesus is alive
He's alive

Chorus:
Oh happy day, happy day
You washed my sin away
Oh happy day, happy day
I'll never be the same OHH NO
Forever I am changed

Oh what a glorious day
What a glorious way
That You have saved me
Oh what a glorious day
What a glorious name

YEAHHH

Chorus:
Oh happy day, happy day
You washed my sin away
Oh happy day, happy day
I'll never be the same
Forever I am changed

What a glorious glorious day,
I'll never be the same

Another great performance by...don't know who!!

Counting down

And so it goes. M's had her birthday at Kidzland on Saturday - I was rather pleased with how it went. Felt a little wierd that I didn't have to do anything for the party...except bake the birthday cake and cupcakes for the parents. M wanted cheesecake so I made her New York Style/Oreo's & Cream topping. Proved quite a hit with parents and kids (I was pleased!!)

Other than the cake, everything was handled by Kidzland including the lollibags. Being the control-freak that I am, I felt a little lost!! Anyway, M & her friends and J & his friends had a great time. I enjoyed catching up with some of the school mamas while our kids play too - going to miss them.

It's another 3 weeks(or thereabouts) till we go and seeing that the removalist will be the ones doing the packing, I am again feeling a little lost - I had cleared alot of our household stuff (read junk!) a few months back, during one of the verge pick ups. Apart from clearing the kitchen pantry and my container cupboard, I am pretty set to go. But not before we prepare the house for rental.

That and choosing which removalist to go with....

I chatted with friends, well intented people about us going. While they are really suppportive and encouraging, the issue of living in the kampung naturally tops the chat-chart. That and me homeschooling the kids, living in the discomfort of the heat of sabahan sun and of course, being around the in-laws. Yes, I am very apprehensive about all that but I am guessing I don't have a choice, really seeing that I have made this choice to leave Perth. Ya? I hear you!

On the ride home from another birthday party yesterday, I chatted with the Hub about the whole in-laws issue. I am glad that we are one-mind about them - from the get-go, we will set boundaries. When the boundaries are crossed, we let them know....Will see how that goes!

Seriously, its really going to be a hard life for me! Gosh, who am I kidding?? All that driving from the city to the kampung....week-in week-out....the sticky heat....all that comments about how fat I am...shit!!

Chapter ending...

The school term and year is ending in 2 weeks. M's birthday and J's big playdate is next on the cards. And then there's Christmas Eve, Christmas and Boxing Day, marking Hub's last day at work. Removalist are coming to empty the house. Before I know it, I will be stepping on home-soil again. Its all happening too fast for me. I am still trying to hold on, yet excited about the move too. I tell myself its only temporary, 5-6 years tops and then I'll be back to Perth weather!
