human are strange creatures....
you are invited to a function by a friend, which you gladly attend. you are then introduced to other acquaintances and being the meticulous character that you are, you remember their faces and their names....and, by george, you even take into memory their personal circumstance - where they work, what they do etc...you get my gist...
and you hope they afford the same attention to you...
a few months past and you chance upon them at the grocery store....you say "hi" only to be greeted with the who-the-hell-are-you look. but of course, they don't let on. they say "hi" followed by a meaningless chat you know, simply to humour you.
months pass and you meet them again. this time at a birthday party of a friend's 5 year old daughter. your children happen to be playing together and naturally, you greet them. and still, they look blankly at you! now you start wondering if you just reek...?
years pass. this time, you've smarten up and quit being the professional fool that you are. for the other numerous encounters that followed, you've relegated to ignoring them too!
now i really reek...
